At first glance, it is hard to take the Honda MSX 125 Grom seriously. It looks like a motorcycle, but the small size doesn’t give the impression of a real motorcycle. After its launch in 2013, {This one is a 2015}, the excitement about the Honda Grom exploded worldwide. It became somewhat of a celebrity, almost a cult  following.

  • 125cc air-cooled 2-valve single-cylinder

FUEL CONSUMPTION    98mpg, {as long as it is not ridden wide open}                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    You can easily push this bike to the limit all the time, twisting the throttle to the fullest. You will reach speeds around 60 mph which won’t make it very suitable for highways, but it is more than enough for everyday commuting, plus, it is just plain FUN!!!! .   This one has some more aggressive tires that have been added to it, making it the perfect campground runner!!!

HANDLING THE HONDA GROM WILL BRING A SMILE ON YOUR FACE

The 4-speed transmission, with a manual hand clutch, makes riding the Grom a very dynamic experience in congested city traffic. The other thing that makes the Honda Grom a rocket-like commuter is its small size, narrow frame and easy handling.

With only a fraction over 220 lbs, the Grom handles almost like a bicycle. You will be tempted to jump over curbs in no time. Not that I recommend it, but if you check some YouTube reviews, most of the guys give them a severe beating.

With the engine power, you can do wheelies with ease. Low weight certainly helps here. The stock brakes are more than powerful enough to stop the Grom efficiently at any time. Stoppies – easy, but if you have to do it, it is at your own risk.

Don’t let the fun and the excitement fool you, it still is a motorcycle and safety should always be your first priority.   There’s just something about this small bike that fires up the riding imagination. The biggest surprise on my first ride? How spacious the ergonomics are on this pint-sized, street-legal package. The Grom is quite roomy overall, with plenty of space for my 5-foot-11 frame. Distance between the 30.1-inch-high seat and footpegs was comfortable, while the reach to the bike’s mid-height handlebar felt natural and relaxed. Not only is the bike large enough to transport a full-sized adult, its seat is also long enough to accommodate a passenger. This one has under 1000. miles on it, 852 to be exact.  Fully serviced and ready to ride!!!
